A Timeless Gem in the Hills – Ilbert Manor, I recently had the pleasure of staying at Ilbert Manor, and I can confidently say it was one of the most memorable hospitality experiences I’ve had in the hills. Nestled amidst the serene greenery of Mussoorie, this heritage property offers a rare blend of colonial charm, personalized service, and modern comforts. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the timeless architecture and the peaceful surroundings. Mr.Arif & Mr.Ayush welcomed us warmly, and their attention to detail made us feel genuinely cared for throughout our stay. Every corner of the hotel reflects old-world elegance — from the beautifully maintained wooden interiors to the vintage decor that transports you to another era. Our room was spacious, tastefully furnished, and offered stunning views of the Doon Valley. Waking up to the crisp mountain air and the sound of birds was pure bliss. The food at the in-house restaurant was exceptional — fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully curated to suit both local and international palates. What truly sets Ilbert Manor apart is its intimate atmosphere. Unlike larger, commercial hotels, Ilbert Manor makes you feel like a treasured guest in a historic home rather than a visitor passing through. Stay was terrible . Rooms were stinking . Only good part was the location which is also very difficult to reach if you are coming by your own

Stay was ok but for the price paid there was no view from the rooms . We had booked 2 rooms for 3 nights . One room and the attached bathroom was very small. Building could be maintained better - carpets etc not cleaned . The driver is a fantastic person .

It's not just a place to stay, but a place to experience, where every corner exudes charm and every moment feels special. What stands out most, however, is the hotel's attention to detail. The staff, ever so courteous and knowledgeable, are happy to share the history of the building and offer suggestions on nearby attractions, making the stay feel more personal.

"Stepping onto the grounds of this colonial property felt like entering a bygone era. The architecture was stunning, with meticulously preserved details and a serene, picturesque setting. The interiors were equally charming, boasting elegant décor and a tranquil ambiance. However, the idyllic facade quickly faded upon encountering the reality of the approach road: a narrow, winding path that tested even the most seasoned driver. The breakfast, unfortunately, failed to live up to the property's aesthetic. The spread was average at best, and concerns regarding hygiene were difficult to ignore. More disappointingly, the overall service fell short of expectations. While the staff were polite, they lacked the attentiveness and efficiency one would expect from a property of this caliber. While the beauty of the colonial architecture and setting are undeniable, the challenging access, mediocre breakfast, and subpar service ultimately overshadowed the experience. A beautiful shell, but lacking substance."
